The USS Monitor was a Union Ironclad monitor. She was built by  the continental Iron Works and was the first turreted Ironclad. She fought te CSS Virginia in Hampton Roads which was the first ever battle between two ironclad warships. She eventually sunk while under tow on the 31 of December 1862.
This model of the USS Monitor is a 1/600 scale Union ironclad monitor. She had 2 × 11-inch smoothbores. She was 172’ long x 41.5’ in beam, displaced about 987 tons, had a maximum speed of about 6 kts and about 49 crew.
