The USS Canonicus was a Union Ironclad monitor. She was built by Harrison Loring. and was one of a class of 9 similar ships. All had 2 x 15’ smoothbore guns which was standard on USS monitors like most of these monitors they were very prone to underwater damage and would go down very quickly to mnes or torpedoes.
This model of the USS Canonicus class monitor is a 1/600 scale Union ironclad monitor. She had 2 × 15-inch smoothbores. She was 223’ long x 43’ in beam, displaced about 2100 tons, had a maximum speed of about 8 kts and about 100 crew.
