Designed and built in the USA between 1940 and 1941 this was the standard Allied armoured halftrack throughout World War 2, and indeed was used up to the 1980s in several parts of the World.
In World War 2 it was also used by the British, Canadians, Free French and Russia and this model is armed with both a .50cal HMG and two .30 LMGs, the standard and heavy armament seen particularly in Western Europe from D-Day onwards, which gave the M3 a very effective anti infantry ‘punch’.
Over 53000 M3s including many variants were built.
