The Sdkfz251 armoured personnel carrier was known as the ‘Hanomag’ after the main manufacturer of the vehicle. It was the most widely used APC within the German army throughout World War 2. Over 15000 were produced, many being variants of the ‘base’ model. The Sdkfz251/16 mounted 2 flamethrowers and was an integral part of many German Pioneer units later in the war.
