The Sdkfz234/2, the 'Puma', was produced for German Panzer Division Reconnaissance Battalions from mid 1944 to February 1945. With a closed fully rotatable turret housing a 5cm L60 main gun it was much appreciated by its crews and had both speed and 'punch against Allied lighter armed tanks and other vehicles, though it lacked the 'stopping power' of earlier 20mm and later 75mm guns against infantry. Around 100 were produced in total.
