As armoured infantry, the concept of the Panzer Grenadier formation was born in the mid 1930s. In fact it was not just as armoured infantry, but as motorised infantry in trucks that the majority of panzer grenadier formations were to be found in the German armed forces in World War 2.
The panzer grenadiers were to protect and support armoured formations, but often were deployed independently, though they were to be found in both Panzer and Panzer Grenadier Divisions.
Panzer Grenadier formations were considered to be elite, and were both well armed and well trained.
The Anschluss Panzer Grenadier Company consists of 120 figures, and not one pose wasted.
