Up armed with the 75mm L43 gun, the Panzer IVG was the match again for the Russian T34s which by far outgunned previous models armed with the 75mmL24. Originally designated Panzer IVF, within three months of production started it was re-designated 'G'.
Production went from 1942 to 1943 and around 3000 were produced.
