The HS 129 was produced specifically as a ground attack aircraft, entering service early in 1942, starting with h4 heavy machineguns in the nose and bombs on the wings. But it really made its name as a tank killer, with 50mm At gun mounting under the fuselage, and later the 75mm At gun taking its place. Nearly 870 were produced by the end of the war, and it was considered to be a highly effective ground attack plane.
This model is a triumph of quality 3D design, and will undoubtedly irritate opponents across the wargames table as it carves a swathe through that carefully painted armour.
