The CSS Advance was a Confederate Blockade Runner. She was one of the fastest ships running the blockade and did she successfully passed through the blockade between the Cape Fear River and Nassau or Bermuda some seventeen times between June 1863 and September 1864 Advance was captured by USS Santiago de Cuba on 10 September 1864
This model of the CSS Advance is a 1/600 scale Confederate blockade runner She had one 20-pounder rifle four 24-pounder howitzers. She was 230 long x 26’ in beam, displaced about 880 tons, had a maximum speed of about 12 kts and about 107 crew.
