Designed in 1955 and produced from 1960 and still in use in the 1990s, the BTR60 could carry up to 14 passengers who could fire out from the armoured interior. (in theory) Like the BTR50, the BTR60 was also amphibious.
The vehicle type is still in service in many parts of the world, and its long history of involvement in combat include the Wars in the Middle East from the 1960s to the 2000s, and even still in the Ukraine War today.
