The Weasel has landed! Over 15000 of these amphibious vehicles were produced between 1943 and 1945, and used widely on Northern Europe by the Americans, British and Canadians, and in the Pacific theatre the US Marines. Used mainly as a supply workhorse it also appeared as a command vehicle and troop carrier amongst other roles. It was discovered that it was good at traversing minefields as its wide tracks reduced ground pressure and did not set of mines such as Teller mines which were designed to explode under vehicles.
