
CSS Richmond was the name ship of six casemate ironclads built for the Confederate States Navy during the American Civil War. Completed during 1862 the ship was assigned to the James River Squadron where she mostly supported Confederate forces near Richmond, Virginia. She was burned in April 1865 to prevent her capture by Union forces.
This model of the CSS Richmond is a 1/600 scale Confederate casemate ironclad. She had 4 x 7” Smoothbores, and a spar torpedo. She was 174 long x 43’ in beam, had a maximum speed of about 6 kts and about 150 crew.
